Andy Harris

Originally from “Down South”, Andy has lived in Northamptonshire for over 40 years. He took to Wood Turning around 20 years ago as a hobby which has now become a passion. His preference is the larger subjects but also finds great joy and satisfaction in the smaller pieces and the challenges they bring. He loves the feel and character of wood and has taken to enhancing this natural medium with colour and texture whilst ensuring the beauty of nature’s creation shines through.

Andy says that he is never quite sure what a bare piece of wood wants to look like so lets it’s appearance develop gradually as he spins it on his lathe or applies colour and texture as he works.
