Neil Pengelly- Digital Mixed media artist

Northants based artist Neil Pengelly has been perfecting his skills in drawing, painting and, more recently, mixed media artworks since he was very young. Using lots of different media from watercolours, to oils and then onto more finer mediums such as pencils, charcoals and pastels, this voyage of discovery and expression has now culminated in this innovative and flamboyant artist creating stunning imagery that marry all of his styles.

Neil’s artworks have evolved from the chalk and charcoal figurative pieces to a more exciting and looser blaze of colours with varying subject matters. He found that that there are limitless possibilities with digital art that he would never be able to recreate with paintbrushes and pencils but likes to stay authentic to his art and so each original is resplendent with added touches of acrylic and oil paints, and bejewelled with diamond dust and micro glitters.

 One of the most fascinating qualities of Neil’s work is is ability to add references from entertainment, pop culture and (occasionally) politics and make them meaningful within the image.

 Furthermore, he’s a thoroughly decent chap and is always keen to help clients understand more about himself and his artworks.
