As seen on ‘Sky Arts Landscape Artist of the Year’ 2018

Martin Taylor

Martin was born in 1954 and studied at the Ealing School of Arts, Wimbledon School of Art and Goldsmith’s College. A highly acclaimed artist, Martin’s aptitude has been recognised through various prizes awarded to him, including the Chris Beetles Awards at the RWS, and the Jeffrey Archer award.

His work has been shown at the Royal Academy, and exhibited and collected nationally and internationally, highlighting its universal appeal.

Martin is a true lover of nature. Every detail is a constant source of inspiration. He achieves his highly detailed, naturalistic style by totally immersing himself in the subject, painting ‘en plein air’ or during inclement weather from the back of his Land Rover.

His studio is a converted barn in the rolling countryside in Northamptonshire. Gracing many fine collections and found only in the best galleries, Martin is a true modern master painter.
