'When I paint on silk I want to create a dynamic but balanced mix of
colour and form by painting rapidly using both intense and subtle
colour. I am inspired by many artists, many from the St Ives School
and some of my favourites are David Hockney, Terry Frost, Patrick
Heron, Roger Hilton, Matisse + Picasso, Mary Fedden, Brian Winter, Ben
Nicholson, Winifred Nicholson, Henri Gaudier Brzska and well as
Vermeer, Goya.' |
