Michael Peckitt
A range of 'Very Colourful Jewellery' produced by a clever use of plastics and painted aluminium from this fine art graduate. As featured in 'Maire Claire' magazine 2008.
Anodised aluminium is high quality metal which has had a current of electricity passed through it, with the effect that it becomes the permenant recipient to certain dyes. Michael's paintings become fixed into the metal 'canvas' and will never rub or wear off, they are then polished, cut and shaped before being finished by hand.
It is this process that makes each piece of jewellery unique. These freely painted pieces of 'Wearable Art' are not made to a pattern and cannot be recreated once cut and formed into jewellery, each new batch will be different. |
